Wall-E

Wall-E, released by Disney/Pixar in 2008 is the tale of a robot that is designed to clean up the earth after humans irreversibly screwed up the environment. Wall-E has somehow outlasted his fellow robots and, over time, developed emotions, curiosity and a love of musicals (specifically, “Hello, Dolly!”) Each day as Wall-E goes out and follows his pre-programmed “directives” he brings along an Igloo-Playmate Cooler and uses it to collect items that he finds either intriguing (a Zippo Lighter) or (...Read More)

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

I feel it’s only fair to tell you that I’m in love with a boy who’s name is Harry Potter. There’s artistry in them thar (Hollywood) hills, and UP brings it, BIG time. The animation is TAH. DIE. FOR. It’s gorgeous to look at (...Read More)

Monsters vs. Aliens

We witnessed an epic battle this week—that of Monsters vs. Aliens. We’re a pretty avid movie-going family, and we’ve been looking forward to this one for some time now. I have to admit that when I first saw the trailers, I thought it looked a little bizarre, but with a voice cast including Reese Witherspoon, Will Arnett, Seth Rogan, Kiefer Sutherland, Paul Rudd, Stephen Colbert and Hugh Laurie *sigh* if nothing else it would be entertaining. I was right. Like (...Read More)
